Salary Range: $32-40/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on UPS/PDS equipment after every show upon return to the shop

• Ensure PM records are accurate, complete, and submitted per Saunders Electric standards.

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, and validate mission-critical power equipment including transformers, ATS, maintenance bypass panel, UPS, battery cabinet, meters, switches, camlock connections, and associated components.

• Perform failure assessments and day-to-day safety inspections; make recommendations to the supervisor as required.

• Test electrical circuits to ensure operability, phase rotation, and conductivity; operate test equipment such as volt/ohmmeters, meggers, and circuit tracers.

• Support Switch Gear Maintenance as assigned.

Shop / Field Support & Coordination:

• Perform electrical modifications, install wiring and components to design and code specifications, and troubleshoot new and existing electrical systems as required

• Maintain a clean and safe shop and job site environment; operate in a safe manner while performing all job functions.

• Support tie ins and permanent installation as needed.

• Assist build team as required to meet schedules and maintain fleet readiness.

• Follow and ensure compliance with all applicable company, local, state, and federal building codes, regulations, and laws.

• The duties of this position may expand, and the employee may be required to perform additional duties related to this position.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Three to five years’ electrical experience.

• Demonstrated experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment, with strong documentation habits (checklists/forms).

• Familiarity with critical power distribution equipment (UPS, transformers, ATS, switchgear, panels, meters, switches, camlocks).

• Ability to read and work from instructions using wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

• Demonstrated ability to practice safety requirements and OSHA standards when working with hazardous energy and heavy loads.

Additional Requirements:

• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified upon hire.

• Must have clean driving record.

• Own adequate tools.

• Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language, Excellent verbal communications skills.

• Pass random drug tests.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• This is a full-time, hourly position that may require working evenings, weekends, and outdoors. The position may require standing for long periods, lifting up to 100 lbs., and performing repetitive tasks.

• Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; talk; see; and/or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision to discern color-coded wiring.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
